windfireforge – your post is entirely fact. The problem is that the injection of squalene into the body makes the immune system recognize squalene as an invader and will attack it (this is the whole point of an adjuvant). Then the body continues to produce and attack it, ad infinatum.

Squalene is present in the oil left by human fingerprints (Asano et al, 2002). Who is ‘they’? looking at 3 levels of government here – federal, provincial/regional, local. Some US suburbs might, as you say, have the freedom to ‘juggle’. but other countries, no. Canadian govt for example has a single contract with GlaxoSmithKline for adjuvanted. Vaccine contracts for H1N1 in general have been negotiated at the federal/govt level (but dont know US situation). Question is, why has the adjuvanted version been negotiated in some countries, but not others?

A seasonal flu vaccine containing Novartis’s MF59 (form of squalene) has been used in Europe since 1997.
OK, its been used in large part to treat the elderly who have weaker immune systems, but still, no huge count of Gulf War Syndrome appearing in Europe.
Laibow should do her homework before making uninformed statements. What kind of ‘Dr’ is she???

The Obama family will get their shots because the adjuvant is not licensed in the US

But it will be licensed across the EU. The EMEA (CHMP) has given a positive opinion on the H1N1 Novartis vaccine which contains squalene on 25th Sept. That means it is likely to be approved and licensed. Approval will be based on clinical trials of over 26000 people.
