It turns out that Novartis makes two swine flu vaccines–one with MF59, its own squalene adjuvant, and one without. And it’s the one without the adjuvant that’s been approved for use here by the CDC.

The other version, with squalene, is being shipped abroad for use on other populations; so there should be a push to spread the word abroad, so that other governments will just say no.

This point–that Novartis makes two versions of swine flu vaccine–is only one example of how thoroughly confusing the whole vaccine situation really is. Meryl Nass writes:

“There are several versions of H1N1 vaccines, just to confuse everyone.

“Here goes: some is live, some killed. Some is made in eggs, some is made in tissue culture using dog tumor (I think kidney tumor) cells. None in the US has either aluminum adjuvants or squalene adjuvants. But either or both may be part of vaccines used overseas. There are 5 different manufacturers for the US market and more for other countries. Most in the US will have 25 mcg mercury per dose, but some will have very little mercury, as it is intended for pregnant women and kids under 6 years.”

That this is such a mare’s nest makes it all the more important that we get clear, thorough coverage from the press. (The Times ought to have pointed out that there is squalene in the swine flu vaccine that Novartis makes for use in other countries.) Since we’re not getting such reporting from the press, we have to do the best we can with what we have.

So I will shortly send out something about Novartis’s use of tumor cells to make their H1N1 vaccine–a practice that may well be dangerous (and yet the only doctors who have sounded some alarm about it are in Germany).

cancer cells? It’s a questions that our health officials, and our press, ought to be asking.

Lung specialist Wolfgang Wodarg has said that there are many risks associated with the vaccine for the H1N1 virus.
He has grave reservations about the firm Novartis who are developing the vaccine and testing it in Germany.

The vaccination is injected “with a very hot needle”, Wodarg said.
The nutrient solution for the vaccine consists of cancerous cells from animals and “we do not know if there could be an allergic reaction”.

But more importantly, some people fear that the risk of cancer could be increased by injecting the cells.
The vaccine – as Johannes Löwer, president of the Paul Ehrlich Institute, has pointed out – can also cause worse side effects than the actual swine flu virus.
Wodrag also described people’s fear of the pandemic as an “orchestration”: “It is great business for the pharmaceutical industry,” he told the ‘Neuen Presse’.

Swine flu is not very different from normal flu. “On the contrary if you look at the number of cases it is nothing compared to a normal flu outbreak,” he added.

The chairman of the health committee in the European Council has urged for a careful and calm reaction to the virus.

Up until now, the producers of the vaccine did not know how many orders they would have by the autumn, but the German Government is now a guaranteed customer.

Even the pharmaceutical companies are trying to exploit the fear of the swine flu pandemic.
