Chicago received its first shipment of swine flu vaccine today, but people should not rush out to try to get the vaccine right away.
The approximately 16,000 doses of the nasal spray vaccine delivered to Chicago today were distributed to 20 providers, mostly hospitals and clinics, and are reserved primarily for healthy children and health care workers, officials said.
The bulk of the H1N1 vaccine -- in the injected form -- is not expected to arrive until mid-October, according the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
