The Swine Flu Vaccine Is It Safe?

An ever expanding number of Doctors, Nurses, Researchers and Members of the Medical Community are saying “No” to the H1N1 vaccine. Up to 60% of the doctors interviewed (1) said they would not take the vaccine themselves. Doctors such as Russell Blaylock MD (2), board certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Tom Jefferson(3), Dr. Kent Holtorf, (4) Infectious Disease Expert and Dr. Joseph Mercola (5) are among them. Others are extremely concerned over the immune adjuvants used in this vaccine and the possible devastating long term side effects.(6) What is the main adjuvants ingredient? MF-59; which Dr Blaylock states contains a serious ingredient called Squalene. (7)

What is Squalene? It is a shark oil derivative reported to increase the risk of autoimmune disease… caution should be exercised in the use of oil adjuvants in human and veterinary vaccines, their use may be complicated by autoimmunity. (7) A number of studies have shown squalene to trigger other devastating autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis and lupus as well as being linked strongly to Gulf War Syndrome.

Dr. Blaylock contends that because Squalene can induce hyperimmune responses and induce autoimmunity, a real danger exists for prolonged activation of the brains immune cells, the microglia. This type of prolonged activation has been strongly associated with additional autoimmune diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ALS and possible vaccine-related encephalitis.

What most people do not know, even doctors who recommend the vaccines, is that most studies performed by pharmaceutical companies observe the patients for only one to two weeks following vaccination. These types of reactions (listed above) may take months or even years to manifest.(10)

Another adjuvant to be concerned with in the vaccine is Thimerosal; a mercury-based preservative that may be found in most vials of the swine flu vaccine. Thimerosal has been phased out of childhood immunizations since 2001 due to concerns that the preservative may be linked to autism.(11) According to the CDC’s own recommendations for seasonal influenza vaccination, they state that children younger than 9, who are being vaccinated against influenza for the first time, will need to receive two doses.(9)

The “Safe Studies” were published by the pharmaceutical manufactures, but a greater number of studies performed by independent laboratories & research institutions all found a strong link between MF-59 (containing Squalene) and autoimmune diseases.(10)

There are currently 2 types of this vaccine available to the public, injectable and nasal. The nasal version; FluMist, shouldn’t be an option for people because it contains the live H1N1 virus, unlike the injectable that contains just antibodies. With no less than 60 % of the U.S. population immunodeficient in one way or another, could FluMist, be a pandemic waiting to happen? (8)

Keep in mind that once the vaccine is administered, there is little you can do to protect yourself at least by conventional medicine. It may mean a lifetime of crippling illness and possibility of early death. The doctors themselves are saying there are much safer ways to protect oneself from the H1N1 virus.(10) Another good reason not to rush out and get the vaccine! So far, the Swine Flu has not shown to be anymore virulent than the regular flu, most cases lasting approximately 3-6 days; there have been approximately 600 deaths in the United States and more than 9,000 people hospitalized with the H1N1 flu.(13) The CDC states (11) that every year in the United States, on the average:

5% to 20% of the population gets the flu;
more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu-related complications; and
about 36,000 people die from flu-related causes.
